In a well insulated and sealed RV, managing moisture can be a challenge in the colder seasons. Airing can lower humidity levels, but you may lose expensively heated air and lose the benefits of good insulation.
For this reason, we decided to test an automatic ventilation device with a heat exchanger. The choice fell on the product Bayernluft “Type Comfort including automatic humidity control” and WLAN network card.
The device was installed on the inside of the entrance door, where the required 12V DC connection is close.

We will now test the device extensively in the coming period and then report back. The following was noticeable in the first few nights:
- Very low noise development - the device can hardly be heard, especially in the low power levels
- At night (currently still cool outside temperatures) with the windows and hatches closed, no unpleasant increase in humidity while the temperatures still remain pleasant (compared to closed windows)
The system will probably be on display at this year's trade fair Adventure four-wheel drive in Bad Kissingen on the status of Bliss Mobil B.V
